How to Buy a Dividend
Stock
A dividend stock pays the shareholder simply for holding it. This is the
primary difference between dividend stock and non-dividend stock.
However, many investors believe a non-dividend stock has a higher payout
than a dividend stock. This is not always the case, and more than one
dividend stock has paid out higher in the past. Many believe this
because the S&D 500 payout for the average dividend stock is low.
Remember, this is the dividend stock average, so look for a dividend
stock that has a higher return. Other than this, as an investor, how do
you know what dividend stock to invest in?

First, research the dividend stock you
are interested in. What percentage dividends does this dividend
stock pay? Look for a dividend stock with a high dividend yield. If
the dividend stock has a low dividend yield,
keep looking.
Next, does the dividend stock have a high historical growth rate?
Look for a dividend stock with a solid history of annual dividend
growth.
Additionally, screen the dividend stock you are interested in. There
are a variety of web sites that offer dividend stock screeners and
will provide helpful results for your dividend stock. Screen for a
dividend stock
with a high return, or other dividend stock specifications.
Finally, forecast the growth of the dividend stock. Look at the
dividend stock’s history and it will be an indication of the future.
A dividend stock does not guarantee returns, but if researched well
a dividend
stock is certainly a great investment option.......
